BerriBot vs hireEZ: where the AI agent sits in your funnel

BerriBot vs hireEZ: where the AI agent sits in your funnel

Answer in brief

BerriBot vs hireEZ, sourced: hireEZ's agent layer over the ATS and published pricing, BerriBot's interview and identity checks, and how to choose.

Agentic AI for recruiting is what hireEZ and BerriBot both sell, and each will tell you the agent does the work a recruiter used to do. What separates them is where in the funnel that agent spends its time. hireEZ puts its agent over your ATS and hands it the top of the funnel, from sourcing, CRM and outreach through to scheduling and a phone screen, while we put ours inside the first-round interview, along with the checks that confirm who is taking it. This page is ours, so weigh it accordingly.

Answer in brief

If your ATS is staying and the tools around it have multiplied, hireEZ is a strong answer, because one agent-led layer replaces separate sourcing, CRM, scheduling and job-ad tools, and its pricing is published. If your problem starts after the shortlist, when candidates have to be interviewed, tested on code and verified at volume, BerriBot covers that stretch more completely. Where hireEZ screens by phone, with an integrity report that looks at how a candidate answers, BerriBot runs the interview on camera and checks for the whole session that the person answering is the applicant.

One layer over the ATS you already have

The idea behind hireEZ is easy to like. Most talent teams don't want to replace their ATS, yet they have accumulated a sourcing tool, a CRM, a scheduler, a job-ad product and a few more, each with its own login and its own copy of the candidate. Sitting on top of the ATS, hireEZ takes over that whole layer: its AI sources across more than 45 platforms, reviews inbound applicants and keeps a talent CRM, while on the outreach side it runs campaigns, conversational voice AI and an AI scheduler that syncs with calendars. Internal mobility is covered as well, an area we don't touch.

In August 2026 hireEZ rebuilt itself as an agent-native platform around EZ Agent, so consolidation is now the idea the whole product is organized around. Add Workday, iCIMS, Greenhouse and SAP among more than 50 integrations, plus Lyft, Visa, Fidelity, Zoom, Accenture, Hilton and PwC named on its homepage, and a recruiting operations lead trying to shrink a tool stack without a migration has a persuasive package in front of them.

What a phone screen can verify

The screening step is where our products start to diverge. hireEZ's AI phone screen asks role-aligned questions and returns a transcript with summarized signals, and every screen comes with an integrity report that flags AI-assisted answers and voice inconsistencies. A separate check, ResumeSense, flags resumes that look manipulated, and together they give useful signals for the kinds of fraud that show up in what a candidate says and submits.

What a phone call can't give you is a face. Because the screen runs by phone, there is no video to match against an ID, no liveness check and no way to see a second person in the room or a pair of smart glasses. Nor did we find identity verification, deepfake video detection or a coding assessment on hireEZ's site. For remote technical roles, where proxy interviewers and coached candidates are a known problem, the question of who is actually on the call is the one that decides whether a screen can be trusted, which is why we built our interview around answering it. Our guide to deepfake and proxy candidate detection goes into how those checks work and where they still fail.

Where hireEZ is stronger

Consolidation is the strength hireEZ is built on. If your team pays for separate sourcing, CRM, scheduling and job-ad tools, one agent working over the ATS you already run is a cleaner setup than anything we offer for that layer, and it avoids the cost and risk of replacing the system of record.

Published pricing helps too, because a solo recruiter can start from $494 a month and know what it costs before talking to sales, though enterprise pricing is custom. We publish nothing, and buyers are right to count that against us.

Then there is breadth. hireEZ offers more than 50 integrations against our native Workday and SuccessFactors pair, sources across more than 45 platforms and covers internal mobility in the same product, whereas we have no internal mobility or workforce planning suite at all. On top of that, it is a larger, longer-established company than we are, with a customer list to match.

Where BerriBot fits better

The interview is where our product earns its place. Starting from questions drawn from the candidate's own resume, Berri MasterMind runs the first round itself, works through role questions and then moves into coding in an integrated environment that supports more than 50 programming languages. Each answer gets a follow-up and a score against a rubric, in any of 140+ languages and accents, so the output is a scored first-round interview with code attached instead of a call summary that still needs a technical round behind it.

Verification runs alongside it, with Berri Proctor checking liveness in 3D, matching face and voice to the candidate's ID, tracking eye gaze and running voice analytics, all while it watches for lip-sync drift, a second person and smart glasses, the last of which we added in January 2026. A timestamped screenshot accompanies every flagged event, so a hiring manager reviewing a flag can see the moment for themselves.

Getting candidates to that interview falls to Berri Connect, which places more than 10,000 calls a minute from a Truecaller Verified number, follows up on WhatsApp, SMS and email, runs CEFR language analysis and books the slot. hireEZ reaches candidates by voice as well, and the difference between us lies in what the call leads to. Among our customers are eight of the ten largest IT services companies, a base that shows our fit plainly: technical hiring at a volume where every interview has to be trustworthy.

The gaps on our side

Pricing isn't published on our side, there are no G2 reviews of BerriBot yet, and nothing in our product covers internal mobility or workforce planning. Our sourcing ranks profiles against the job description, but we don't publish a platform count to set against hireEZ's 45+, nor an integration list as long as theirs, and BerriBot is much newer and smaller as a company. If you are scoring vendors on how much of the top of the funnel one contract can cover, hireEZ will outscore us.

How to choose

Go with hireEZ if your ATS is fixed and your problem is tool sprawl around it, if sourcing, CRM, scheduling and job ads need to collapse into one layer, if internal mobility belongs in the same purchase, or if you want a published price to start from.

Go with BerriBot if your shortlist is already full and the bottleneck is interviewing it, if the roles are technical and coding has to be tested within the same screen, or if you need to know that the person on camera is the applicant before anyone spends panel time on them. That loop, from first call to verified interview, is what our agentic AI recruiting platform covers.

Because both connect to Workday, nothing stops the two products from working in one funnel, with hireEZ filling the top and BerriBot doing the interviewing. If you are choosing between them, run a pilot on one job family of 200 to 500 interviews and compare what reached your hiring managers.
