Answer in brief
BerriBot vs Paradox, sourced: where Workday-owned Paradox wins at frontline mobile hiring, where BerriBot's interview fits, and how to choose.
Paradox makes conversational recruiting software built around an assistant called Olivia, which screens, schedules and onboards candidates by text and chat for employers with thousands of hourly applicants to get through. Workday completed its acquisition of Paradox on 1 October 2025, which matters to anyone weighing where the product is headed. We get compared with Paradox because both products put AI in front of candidates early, but the jobs we were each built for barely overlap, and most of this page is about telling them apart. We wrote it, of course, so allow for that as you read.
Answer in brief
For frontline and hourly hiring on mobile, Paradox is the better choice, and we'd say so to anyone who asked. It answers applicants, screens them against job requirements, books and rebooks interviews and then carries them through offer letters, onboarding forms and tax documents, all in a conversation on their phone. For technical and professional roles, where the first interview has to test real skills and confirm the candidate's identity, BerriBot does more of that work itself: it runs the interview, sets a coding round inside it and checks liveness, face and voice for the whole session. Paradox schedules interviews that people then run, takes assessments from partners and handles identity through post-offer background checks.
Frontline hiring and technical hiring are different problems
Hiring a crew member for a restaurant or a warehouse shift is a race, because people apply from a phone, often to several employers at once, and the one that replies within minutes with a slot has the best chance of keeping them. Paradox is designed for exactly that moment. Olivia answers candidates' questions, screens them against the job's requirements and automates scheduling and rescheduling, while a conversational CRM keeps talent pools warm with job alerts by SMS and email. Once someone is hired, the same flow handles offer letters, onboarding forms, tax documents and background checks, and the customers on its homepage, Chipotle, 7-Eleven, General Motors, Nestlé, Marriott and Compass Group, make it clear who it serves.
Technical hiring breaks in a different place. A software engineering requisition might attract hundreds of applicants, and the expensive part is the first-round interview, because each one takes an engineer away from their work and some candidates turn out to be coached, assisted or, in markets with a paid proxy industry, someone else entirely. Speed still matters, but the question a recruiter most needs answered is whether this person can do the job and whether they are who they say they are, and that is the problem our product is organized around.
Who runs the interview
Here the two products separate most clearly. Paradox's video product records candidates' answers and hosts live virtual interviews, both reviewed by people, and we did not find an AI-run interview on its site. For assessments it relies on partners such as Harver, Korn Ferry and Gallup, with background checks running through partners such as Checkr and HireRight, and our search of Paradox's site turned up no identity checks or interview fraud detection.
For hourly roles that division of labor can work well, because a manager often meets the candidate in person and a background check after the offer covers much of what the employer needs. For remote technical roles it means that, as far as we could find, nothing checks who is on camera during the first interview, which is the step where proxies do their work. BerriBot runs that step itself and verifies identity throughout it, which we cover in more depth in our guide to deepfake and proxy candidate detection.

Where Paradox is stronger
Frontline speed is the clearest case. Answering thousands of hourly applicants within minutes, on their phones, and getting each one into an interview slot is a problem Paradox has built its whole product around, and we have nothing designed for it.
After the offer, Paradox keeps going: offer letters, onboarding forms, tax documents and background checks all run in the same flow, whereas Berri Tutor is an upskilling tool that builds learning paths for new hires and does not handle onboarding paperwork.
Ownership and fit count in its favor as well. As part of Workday since 1 October 2025, Paradox made its conversational ATS available through Workday in January 2026, so for an employer already running Workday it slots into the estate naturally, and it lists integrations with SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle, iCIMS, Greenhouse, UKG and Dayforce for everyone else. Paradox is also much larger than we are, and longer established.
Where BerriBot fits better
Technical and professional roles are where our product belongs. For those roles, Berri MasterMind runs the first-round interview itself. Its opening questions come from the candidate's own resume before it turns to role questions and, after those, a coding round in an integrated environment that supports more than 50 programming languages. With a follow-up on each answer and rubric scoring in 140+ languages and accents, what the hiring manager receives is a scored first round with code attached.
Throughout that interview, Berri Proctor checks 3D liveness, matches face and voice to the candidate's ID, tracks eye gaze, runs voice analytics and watches for lip-sync drift, a second person and smart glasses, a check we added in January 2026. Flagged events are logged with timestamped screenshots, which means a reviewer can look at the evidence before anyone makes an offer instead of finding out from a background check afterwards.
Upstream of the interview, Berri Connect dials candidates from a Truecaller Verified number at more than 10,000 calls a minute, runs CEFR language analysis on each call, books the interview and follows up on WhatsApp, SMS and email. That eight of the ten largest IT services companies use BerriBot says a lot about where we fit, namely technical hiring at a volume where every first-round interview has to be one you can trust.
The gaps on our side
You won't find published pricing or G2 reviews for BerriBot yet, and we have no onboarding paperwork flow either, since Berri Tutor is about getting new hires project-ready through learning. Nothing in our product is built for hourly, mobile-first frontline hiring, and we are a much newer and smaller company than Paradox, which now has Workday behind it. If frontline volume is your problem, this comparison should end with Paradox.
How to choose
Go with Paradox if most of your hires are frontline or hourly, if applicants come to you on their phones and need an answer and a slot within minutes, if you want screening, scheduling and onboarding paperwork in one conversation, or if you run Workday and want a product that now belongs to it.
Go with BerriBot if your hiring is technical or professional, if the first-round interview is consuming your engineers' time, or if you need to confirm a candidate's identity during the interview instead of after the offer. Everything from the first call to the verified interview sits inside our agentic AI recruiting platform.
Employers who hire both kinds of role can reasonably run both, since each connects to Workday. If you are weighing us for technical hiring, a pilot on one job family of 200 to 500 interviews will show more than any feature table.
