Answer in brief
Metaview writes up the interviews your team runs. If you want the first technical round run for you, with identity checks, here are five alternatives compared.
Answer in brief
Metaview takes the notes, scorecards and follow-ups off interviewers, and its agents automate sourcing, outreach and the screening call, which makes it the natural choice while your interviews stay human-led. Teams that want the first-round technical interview run for them, with identity checks inside it, should look at BerriBot, HireVue or Eightfold AI, and hireEZ and InCruiter cover narrower cases.
The cost Metaview attacks is the time after every interview, when an engineer writes up what the candidate said and fills in a scorecard, and that is real time Metaview recovers. The hour of the interview itself is a different cost, often the larger one for teams hiring engineers at volume, because every first round pulls a senior person off their own work to ask questions they have asked many times before, and notes can't give that hour back. This page is for teams who have reached that point, and our own product is one of the options on it.
What Metaview does well
When interviews stay human-led and the pain is everything around them, the notes, scorecards and follow-ups, Metaview is doing the job it was built for. Its notes understand technical interviews, and the free tier makes it easy to try before anyone signs anything.
The product has grown well past notes, with agents that now source from a job description and review inbound applications, fillmore running personalized outreach by email, LinkedIn and WhatsApp and booking screening calls, and a voice agent running the screening call itself. Pricing is unusually open: a free sourcing tier for the first 100 profiles, then $100 or $300 per user a month, and custom pricing for the full platform. Beyond that, Metaview connects to 100+ ATSs, including Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday, iCIMS and SAP SuccessFactors, names Deel, Brex, Intercom, Replit, GEICO and Deliveroo as customers, raised a $35M Series B in June 2025 and acquired Reval in August 2026.
Notes on an interview, or the interview itself
After the screening call, Metaview documents the interviews people run, and that is the line that matters here: an AI interviewer runs the technical round and checks identity while it does, whereas Metaview leaves the panel in the room and makes their time afterwards cheaper.
Two smaller gaps follow from that. With no dedicated coding assessment on Metaview's site that we could find, the technical test still happens in a separate tool or with an engineer watching. On integrity, the screening agent flags AI-assisted or fraudulent answers and signs that a candidate is reading from a second screen, and application review filters application fraud, both useful, although we found no ID, proxy or deepfake checks, which in remote technical hiring leaves the question of who is on the call to the interviewer's judgment.
Metaview alternatives
BerriBot
We make BerriBot, an agentic AI recruiting platform, so apply the usual discount to this section. The part that takes the first round off your panel is Berri MasterMind, which runs the interview itself, starting from questions drawn from the candidate's own resume, moving into role questions and then into coding in an integrated environment that supports 50+ programming languages, following up on each answer and scoring it against a rubric, in 140+ languages and accents. Scores and reports go back into the ATS through native Workday and SuccessFactors integrations, so your panel picks up from a scored first round instead of a blank calendar slot.
Running alongside it, Berri Proctor covers 3D liveness detection, face and voice matched to the candidate's ID, lip-sync analysis, eye-gaze tracking, voice analytics, second-person detection and, since January 2026, smart-glasses detection, and each flag comes with a timestamped screenshot. Earlier in the funnel, Berri Connect places 10,000+ calls a minute from a Truecaller Verified number and books the interview. What we lack next to Metaview is note-taking on the later human rounds, and our sourcing does not search a billion-profile database, while on the commercial side we publish no pricing, have no G2 reviews yet and run pilots on one job family of 200 to 500 interviews.
HireVue
Built on validated assessments and video interviewing, HireVue is enterprise hiring software whose AI Interviewer has, since June 2026, run two-way conversations with follow-up questions, alongside one-way video and live interviews. The technical round is covered too, with auto-scored coding challenges with plagiarism detection and cognitive and job-tryout assessments built and validated by I-O psychologists.
The two point in opposite directions. Metaview automates the admin and leaves people to interview, while HireVue replaces or structures the interview and leaves sourcing to others, since we found no outbound sourcing on its site and its scheduling is automated self-scheduling. Integrity coverage spans identity, environment, audio, screen and browser, with checks that the same person stays present and image capture, although ID-document matching and deepfake detection are not stated. It lists Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle, iCIMS, Avature, Greenhouse and 45+ ATSs, carries ISO 27001:2022, ISO 27701, SOC 2 Type 2, SOC 3 and FedRAMP Moderate, and does not publish pricing.
Eightfold AI
Apart from us, no option here does more to take interviewing off the panel than Eightfold, a talent intelligence platform for large enterprises. Its AI Interviewer runs adaptive interviews in 24+ languages covering functional skills and coding, 360 Interview, launched in August 2026, combines several rounds into one, and identity verification comes through ID.me and CLEAR partners, backed by fraud detection on 12+ cheating signals such as tab switching, camera manipulation and duplicate voices, all flagged for human review.
It is also a much larger platform than Metaview, since the same skills model drives internal mobility, succession and workforce readiness, and Candidate Agent handles discovery, applications, scheduling and follow-ups over SMS, WhatsApp, web and voice. It integrates with Workday Recruiting, SAP SuccessFactors and Oracle Fusion Cloud Recruiting, names Salesforce, Citi, HP, HSBC, Deutsche Telekom and Wipro as customers, and does not publish pricing.
hireEZ
In spirit, hireEZ is the closest to Metaview, an agent layer over your existing ATS that takes recruiter work off people's plates. It sources across 45+ platforms, runs a talent CRM, campaigns, conversational voice AI and an AI scheduler with calendar sync, and was rebuilt around EZ Agent in August 2026.
Like Metaview, it automates the screen and stops short of the technical interview. Its AI phone screen asks role-aligned questions and returns a transcript and summarized signals, with an integrity report that flags AI-assisted answers and voice inconsistencies, and ResumeSense flags manipulated resumes, but we did not find a coding assessment, identity verification or deepfake video detection there. For solo recruiters, pricing starts at $494 a month, and enterprise pricing is custom.
InCruiter, if you want humans to keep interviewing
Some teams want the interview off their own panel without handing it to an AI, and InCruiter is the option on this page that offers both. Based in Bengaluru with a US office in Plano, it runs IncBot for voice and video AI interviews and an interview as a service business with 4,500 interviewers, so later rounds can still be human without being yours. IncBot's published fraud checks include eye movement tracking, dual voice detection, multiple faces, tab switching, and detection of altered videos, face swaps and AI generated voices, rolled into a risk score.
It also publishes rupee prices, IncVid Pro at ₹1,99,999 a year plus GST for 100 interview credits and Pro+ at ₹5,99,999 for 250, and G2 rated it 4.6 from 137 reviews when we checked in September. Its compliance claim is "SOC 2, ISO, GDPR compliant" with no ISO number attached, so treat the ISO part as unverified.

"Not found" means we did not find it on the vendor's site on 1 October 2026. Metaview gets a "Partly" on the interview row because its voice agent runs the screening call while people lead the later rounds, and InCruiter is absent, as we have not checked it against these six steps.
How to choose
Metaview remains the right tool if your interviewers are staying in the room and what you want is their time back afterwards, because no alternative here does notes and scorecards as its main job, and it pairs reasonably with any of the others by documenting the human rounds that follow an AI first round.
To take the first technical round off the panel, you are choosing between three AI interviewers. HireVue suits enterprises whose legal and security teams will ask for validated assessments and certifications, Eightfold suits teams that want interviewing as part of a talent intelligence suite, and BerriBot suits high-volume technical hiring where the identity check needs to run for the whole interview. Teams that would rather keep humans in the interview, just not their own, should look at InCruiter's interview service, and whichever you pick, run it on one requisition first and count the panel hours it saves.
